Call for Papers
As the organizer of the scientific research conference, The Global Academic Research Institute In Collaboration with “Colour-Space-Culture” International Association Dr. Larissa Noury presents the International Conference on Colour, Culture and Modern Art - (ICCCMA 2026) under the theme of “Colour Harmony in Art & Culture”. You are welcome to send proposals for papers and abstract submissions, for both Oral and Poster presentations covering current research and new processes. International papers from industry, academics, and researchers should come with information that is new, taking in consideration many aspects of the domains below, but is not limited to conference scopes. Papers will be reviewed by eminent scholars in the respective areas.
Two types of submissions are invited:
1. Full papers reporting on original & unpublished research
2. Work-in-progress papers or Abstract or Case Studies or Projects
For abstract submission Fill in the Online submission form or contact helpdesk@gariteam.com. Presentation time allocated 20 mins (15 mins presentation 05 mins questions). All accepted published in Print Extended Abstract Proceedings Books, Online proceedings having ISSN, ISBN & DOI.
In addition, all the selected full papers published in the "GARI International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research" (www.research.lk) as well as GARI Digital Research Library International Journal of Apparel Textile and Fashion Design as well as GARI Digital Research Library,
- Offer certificate for co-authors & All Participant Delegates
Print & Online proceedings Book will include "Extended Abstracts", it should be at least three pages, but not more than five pages in length including the references. The word limit is 1000 - 1200 words.
NOTE: If you are unable to Travel Virtual Delegate Presentation (via ZOOM platform) is available at the conference & All the presentations LIVE STREAM on Facebook. After the event, We post the Print Certificate & Proceeding

Colour Theory, Perception & Psychology
- Principles of colour harmony and contrast, colour mixing systems (additive, subtractive), physiological and psychological responses to colour, colour perception across age groups, emotional and symbolic associations of colour, and cross-cultural variations in colour interpretation.
Colour in Visual Arts & Contemporary Practice
- Use of colour in painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and digital art, colour as narrative and expression, monochromatic vs. polychromatic approaches, colour in abstraction and minimalism, experimental colour techniques, and case studies of modern artists' colour palettes.
Cultural Symbolism of Colour Across Societies
- Colour meanings in Eastern and Western traditions, sacred and ritualistic colour usage, colour in festivals and celebrations, national and political colour symbolism, colour in indigenous art forms, and evolving cultural perceptions of colour in globalized contexts.
Colour in Architecture, Design & Urban Spaces
- Colour planning in architectural facades and interiors, colour in landscape and public art, chromatic branding of urban spaces, colour for wayfinding and accessibility, psychological impact of colour in built environments, and sustainable colour solutions in design.
Modern Art Movements & Chromatic Revolution
- Colour in Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Fauvism, Expressionism, Orphism, Abstract Expressionism, Op Art, and Pop Art, pioneering colour theorists (Itten, Albers, Chevreul), and the transition from representational to non-representational colour usage.
Digital Colour, New Media & Interactive Art
- Colour in digital painting, generative art, video art, projection mapping, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) environments, interactive installations, colour algorithms and coding for artists, and screen vs. print colour reproduction challenges.
Colour in Fashion, Textiles & Surface Design
- Colour forecasting for fashion and home textiles, natural and synthetic dye traditions, digital textile printing, colour in pattern and surface ornamentation, cultural colour codes in costume, and sustainable colouration practices in the fashion industry.
Art Criticism, Aesthetics & Colour Philosophy
- Philosophical inquiries into colour and perception (Goethe, Wittgenstein), colour in aesthetic theory, semiotics of colour in visual culture, critical analysis of colour in modern and postmodern art, curatorial approaches to colour-focused exhibitions, and art historical reassessments of chromatic practices.
